Infoxchange Service Seeker

Infoxchange Service Seeker is Australia's most extensive electronic health, welfare, and community services directory.

Service Seeker provides up-to-date information across a number of classifications including; aged, counselling, disability, drug and alcohol, education and training, employment, family, financial, health, housing, law, multicultural, recreation and youth.

St Vincent de Paul Society

St Vincent de Paul Society provide people in immediate crisis with food, clothing, other everyday essentials, help with bills, a friendly face to listen and importantly referrals as needed to other helpful services.

Kids Helpline

The Kids Helpline assist in a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and the protection of children from harm.

Parent Line

The Parent Line is a free telephone counselling and support service for parents and carers with children aged 0 to 18 who live in NSW.

Anti-Discrimination NSW

Child Protection Helpline

The Child Protection Helpline can be used to report your concern if a child is at risk of abuse, neglect or significant risk of harm.

Crime Stoppers

Use Crime Stoppers to report actual or suspected criminal information confidentially.

NSW Domestic Violence Line

The NSW Domestic Violence Line help's and support with emergency housing, understanding domestic and sexual violence, sexual consent and the law, legal help, and how to stay safe. Available: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Police Assistance Line

Use the Police Assistance Line to report a crime, or seek support for victims of crimes (aside from life threatening or time critical emergencies). 

NSW Police Force resources

  • Hate crimes: How to report a hate crime if you ever feel unsafe or threatened.

NSW Victim Access Line

The NSW Victim Access Line assists with victims compensation and counselling. They are a single entry point for victims of crime in NSW to access services.

NSW State Emergency Service (SES)

The SES can support someone who has experienced damage from storms, wind or fallen trees. They also provide assistance to those impacted by bushfires, floods or tsunamis. emergency.

Government support

Centrelink 

Centrelink provide social security payments and services to Australians. These payments or service may relate to raising kids, living arrangements, ageing, work, education and more.

Service NSW

Contact Service NSW for legal and police services as well as renewing licences, car registrations and more.

Beyond Blue Support Service

Beyond Blue Support Service is a mental wellbeing support service.

Lifeline Australia

Lifeline Australia is for national suicide prevention service crisis support.

Mensline

Mensline is a professional phone counselling and online support and information helpline for Australian men.

NSW Mental Access Line 

NSW Mental Access Line offer mental health advice and assessment with recommendations for appropriate care. This may include referral to NSW Health mental health services.

Suicide Call Back Service

Suicide Call Back Service is a counselling helpline for anyone affected by suicide. 

Transcultural Mental Health Line

The Transcultural Mental Health Line is a telephone service available to support people who live in NSW and who are from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The Line operates Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.

National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline

Step Together have referred people to the National Alcohol and Other Drug Hotline when:

  • Provides free and confidential advice about alcohol and other drugs for individuals, family and friends, general practitioners, other health professionals, business and community groups.
  • The hotline automatically directs the caller to the Alcohol and Drug Information Service in their state or territory. 
  • Callers can obtain information for a range of alcohol and other drugs related topics through a pre-recorded message system, or can choose to speak with a counsellor or other trained professional who can provide information, support and referrals for people who are concerned about their own, or others alcohol and other drugs use. 

Housing and homelessness

Housing Contact Centre

The Housing Contact Centre find and keep your housing. They help you to apply for private rental assistance or social housing. They also help you to understand your rights and responsibilities as a tenant or request help with a property and find out more about management transfers. 

Link2Home

Link2Home provides support if someone is homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year.
